‘Drumline Live’ coming to theater

CLEVELAND

“Drumline Live,” a show created by the music team from 2002 movie “Drumline,” will make its northeast Ohio debut at 8 p.m. Feb. 3 at the State Theater. “Drumline Live” brings athleticism to an eclectic mix of sounds performed by marching band programs across the southern United States.

The is in the tradition of the black college marching band, which began more than 50 years ago at Florida A&M University. The high-stepping and energetic choreography of the bands has developed into a unique subgenre, made famous by the film “Drumline.”

Hot rod, bike show at Civic Center

CANTON

Canton Hot Rod and Custom Bike Show will be Jan. 28-30 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, downtown. Hours are 4 to 10 p.m. Jan. 28; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Jan. 29; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 30. Admission is $10 ($5 for children 6-12; free for 5 and under). John Schneider of “The Dukes of Hazzard” and “Smallville” will be on hand to sign autographs Jan. 29 and 30.
