ACS kicks off corporate Daffodil Days campaign

Staff report

The American Cancer Society has kicked off its 2011 Daffodil Days Corporate Campaign and is seeking companies, businesses and corporations to help with the promotion.

Organizations are encouraged to support this fundraising activity by placing orders before March 4 for daffodils by the bunch, potted plants, vases filled with the flowers and other daffodil items.

According to Shannon Ealy, regional income-development director of Northeast Ohio ACS, by sending daffodils to friends, family members and to those touched by cancer, corporations send a message of hope and raise funds and awareness to help defeat cancer.

The requested donations for daffodils follow:

Bear and a bunch, $25, includes a Liv N Hope bear created especially for the Daffodil Days and 10 fresh-cut daffodils.

Bunch of 10 Daffodils, $10, consists of 10 fresh-cut daffodils.

Vintage Vase and a bunch, $15, features a vintage vase and bunch of daffodils.

Potted Mini Daffodils, $12, includes three or four bulbs in a 4-inch pot.

Project Care, $25, delivers a Boyd’s bear anonymously to comfort a child.

Pre-sale coordinators from local businesses, and drivers who can deliver flowers the week of March 14, are needed.

Coordinators are encouraged to visit one of these websites:
