2 shot in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN

A 21-year-old Liberty man told police he was shot in the knee while he was inside the Dragon Palace restaurant, 3501 South Ave., at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

The victim said a man was waving a gun around at the bar, so he ran out the front door but realized he’d been hit by gunfire. The victim went to Northside Medical Center, where he was in stable condition.

At about 7 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the thigh while at the corner of Willis and Glenwood avenues. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim said his sister’s boyfriend, a 25-year-old Youngstown man, shot him from a car and that the same man also fired a shot at him on Saturday but missed.
