Sorority chapters to host annual Snowflake Ball

Members of Epsilon Mu Omega and Delta Delta chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. will host their annual Snowflake Ball from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 29 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds for scholarships and community service projects supported by the sororities.

“Dancing With the Stars” has been chosen as the theme for the evening, which will include dinner and dancing to music provided by the Total Package Band.

Showcased at the event will be leaders of other members of the black Greek organizations in the area, such as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, who are celebrating 100 year anniversaries.

Admission to the ball will be $40 per person. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any sorority member. For more information contact Beverly Fortune at 330-782-3126.
