Italy was the honeymoon destination for Jim Powers and his bride, the former Meredith Mylott, following their 5 p.m. Oct. 2 wedding and their reception, both at Pinnacle Golf Club.

The Rev. John Karlson officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Thomas and Alicia Mylott of Youngstown and son of Jim and Teresa Powers of Stow.

The bride’s strapless champagne-colored gown featured a sweetheart neckline, fitted lace bodice, an asymmetrical dropped waistline and a tiered beaded lace and pleated organza skirt that flowed into a chapel train.

Burgundy-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Lauren Mylott, the bride’s sister, and Alaina Rauber, her cousin. Similar gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Annie Powers, a sister of the groom; Kelly Flaschberger; Ashley Lavanty; and Cindy Ordonez-Bogart.

The duties of best man were performed by Greg Dench, and groomsmen were Keith Basom, Derek Knepper, Ryan Walukonis, Josh Zarlenga, and the groom’s cousin Matthew Etcher.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration. She is a senior buyer at Ohio State University.

The groom, a personal banker with Fifth Third Bank in Columbus, graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
