Police arrest Warren man after car chase

Police arrested a 25-year-old Warren man after he led officers on a 24-minute chase in snowy weather through several jurisdictions.
Joseph Rudolphi did not make a complete stop at a stop sign or use his turn signal at an intersection on Salt Springs Road at 2:40 a.m. Thursday, police said. They said Rudolphi fled police, ignored the “one way” sign on a ramp to Interstate 680 northbound and began to travel southbound on the highway.
According to reports, Rudolphi was traveling at speeds up to 100 mph. Police said when Rudolphi approached the Western Reserve Road exit, he made a sudden right turn off the road, jumped the grass median and took the Western Reserve exit in the I-680 southbound lane onto Western Reserve Road.
Youngstown police were joined by officers from Boardman and other areas, and Rudolphi got back on I-680 at South Avenue, this time traveling north in the northbound lane.
Rudolphi exited the Salt Springs Road off ramp and began to ride the right guard rail, bringing his vehicle to a stop. He was ordered out of the car at gunpoint but did not comply, reports stated. Officers got him out of the car, but Rudolphi refused handcuffs, so officers stung him with an electronic barb.
Police said Rudolphi had three open driving under suspensions and four active warrants out for his arrest in numerous counties.
He was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign; failure to signal; driving under suspension; failure to comply with order of a police officer; and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Mahoning County jail.
