Miss Calcagni, Mr. Ballard to wed in April

Announced by Joseph and Cynthia Calcagni of Boardman is the engagement of their daughter Deana Calcagni of Cleveland and Stephen Ballard, also of Cleveland, a son of Michael and Delvet Ballard of Boardman.

The couple have chosen April 30 for their wedding at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for the 2 p.m. ceremony and for a reception that evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Reception Hall, Youngstown.

The bride-elect graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in sociology/chemistry, and earned a master’s degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. She is employed by Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services as a social worker in Cleveland.

The future groom graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in political science. He earned his juris doctorate from DePaul University College of Law and is employed by Litigation Management Inc. in Mayfield Heights.
