Pa. man, 74, killed in apparent knife attack

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — An elderly man is dead after an apparent knife attack.

Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marisco says 74-year-old John Troutman was found dead Tuesday evening at his home in Swatara Township, near Harrisburg.

Investigators say Troutman was found in his kitchen by his longtime girlfriend. The room was in disarray, indicating a struggle.

Authorities say Troutman had cuts to his head and neck. An autopsy is scheduled.
