BUCYRUS, Ohio
A Warren woman was among those injured in a bus-snow plow accident that left a Hartville man dead.
Courtney Perrino, statistician for the Mount Union University wrestling team, along with the three others who were injured, was treated at a hospital after the Tuesday night crash.
The school’s director of athletic training, Daniel M. Gorman, 52, of Hartville, was killed.
The Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred about 11 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 30 in Crawford County.
The bus, carrying the school’s wrestling team, was returning to the Alliance university after a wrestling meet at Ohio Northern University in Ada.
Both the bus and the Ohio Department of Transportation snow plow were traveling eastbound on U.S. 30.
The plow, driven by Troy J. Shawber, 41, of Galion, was plowing the left lane when the bus, driven by Robert L. Lewis, 62, of Louisville, passed in the right lane and the vehicles collided.
Shawber wasn’t injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the patrol.
