Warren man found guilty of burglary, kidnapping charges

WARREN — A jury has found O’Mearo Beaver guilty of kidnapping and burglary.

Jurors reached their verdict after deliberating only 30 minutes today in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Police said Beaver, 20, of Commerce Street Northwest, was among three men who robbed a house on Westwood Street Northwest on Jan. 27, 2010, while ordering a 12-year-old boy who was home alone to lie on the floor while they took video games and game systems, a television, jewelry and items from his mother’s purse.

Judge Peter Kontos, who presided over the three-day trial, will sentence Beaver on Feb. 14. He could get up to 18 years in prison.
