SilverSneakers at new location

The Ursuline Motherhouse, 4250 Shields Road, Canfield, is the new location for the SilverSneakers Fitness Program.

Current and prospective members are reminded to take insurance cards and to register for classes from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 20 at the new location. Classes will be 9 to 10 a.m. or 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. The first class will be Jan. 31.

YWCA schedules Meet and Mix event

WARREN

The YWCA of Warren, 375 N. Park Ave., will host a Meet and Mix for its Young Women’s Leadership Board from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26. Light refreshments will be served and tours of the historic building will be available.

The leadership board was created in 2010 for the purpose of supporting the YWCA and its mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice and freedom and dignity for all. Serving as chairwomen of the board are Toni Blake, teen program manager, and Melissa Papini, program manager.

Young women ages 18 and over, who come from diverse backgrounds and live in Trumbull County, are invited to join the YWCA and to become actively involved in the leadership programs.

Volunteers needed for SCORE program

YOUNGSTOWN

SCORE Counselors to America’s Small Business, which offers free, confidential mentoring, coaching and counseling services to existing, new and future businesses, is seeking volunteers to help small businesses succeed.

Anyone with experience as a business manager or a business owner, or having experience that will help entrepreneurs succeed, is asked to join the nonprofit organization.

Volunteers will be asked to share their knowledge with new and growing small businesses in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties in Ohio, and Mercer, Lawrence and Shenango counties in Pennsylvania.

Tickets available for benefit event

CANFIELD

Tickets are available for the Valentine’s Day dinner and entertainment scheduled as a benefit for the Ursuline Center.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the center, 4280 Shields Road. Entertainment will include dinner music by pianist Thomas Solich and popular selections by the Ursuline High School Chorus.

Broad Street Diner will provide the gourmet meal, which will feature a Valentine theme and a chocolate fountain.
