BOARDMAN
A woman called police after witnessing someone steal a truck from her parents’ automobile business.
The woman told police she was driving past Christmas Automotive on Market Street about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, when she noticed lights on inside one of the trucks in the lot.
She contacted her parents and asked if someone was supposed to be using the truck. When they said no, she called Boardman police as she followed the truck north on Market Street, according to a police report.
The woman said the truck was swerving all over the road, eventually going off the road. The man then fled the vehicle on foot. He was described as a black man in his mid-to-late 50s, about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark, hooded sweat shirt and sweat pants and a black stocking cap, according to the report.
