Teen pleads innocent

Joseph Daniel, 18, of Burton Street Southeast, pleaded innocent Monday in Warren Municipal Court to carrying a concealed weapon after an incident Sunday evening in the Trumbull Homes apartments.

Officers responded to the 2200 block of North Feederle Avenue Southeast about 6:15 p.m. after a report of two vehicles in a parking lot with males waving guns in the air.

Officers saw three people standing near a vehicle with one of them running. Detective Wayne Mackey caught up with the man — later identified as Daniel — a short time later, leading officers to retrace Daniel’s steps and find a loaded handgun near a wall. Daniel was released from the Trumbull County Jail on Monday after posting bond.
