POLICE CALLS
A summary of recent criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:
CANFIELD
Jan. 3
Drug abuse: Police arrested Angel Phillips, 34, of 228 Lee Ave., Lisbon, and Brandon Pulse, 19, of 5018 Cemetery, Hilliard, both on a charge of possessing a drug abuse instrument at E. Main Street near the BP station.
Jan. 5
Warrant: Police arrested Alyssa Marble, 31, 7899 Castle Rock Drive, Warren, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.
Theft: A student at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, was robbed of $120 in class.
Drug abuse: Police arrested James Cunningham, 28, of 1803 E. Bonner Road, Deerfield, on a charge of drug abuse after finding approximately 3 grams of suspected marijuana in his car.
Warrant: Police arrested Aaron Brescio, 30, of 161 Ayers St., Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear on driving under suspension and littering charges.
Jan. 8
Shoplifting: Police arrested Bobby Lee Woodall, 28, of 4823 State Route 44, Ravenna on a theft charge for allegedly stealing 19 Blu-ray DVD’s at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.
Jan. 9
Drug abuse: Brandon Coppin Wilson, 21, of 119 N. 5th St., Dennison, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse after police said he was found with an ounce of suspected marijuana and 30 grams of mushrooms.
AUSTINTOWN
Jan. 3
Warrant: Police arrested James Owens, 48, of 1552 Denison Ave. NW, Warren, at state Route 46 and Interstate Boulevard on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation.
Criminal damaging: The picture window of a residence was shattered in the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a Huntington Bank debit account at a home in the 300 block of Impala Drive.
Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into and a Toro snowblower was taken at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Breaking and entering: Twenty metal frames were taken at Vinylume Products, 3745 Henricks Road.
Theft: A personal check for $300 was taken and forged at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 200 block of South Inglewood Avenue.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.
Menacing: An unknown caller was menacing a home in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.
Burglary: Entry was gained through a front door in a break-in at home in the 40 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: A temporary Ohio license tag was stolen from an auto at a home in the 60 block of Lexington Place.
Jan. 4
Breaking and entering: Police arrested Roy Baker, 44, of 6060 Thompson-Clark Road, Bristolville, on a charge of breaking and entering at a home in the 2000 block of County Line Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle windshield was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Jan. 5
Assault: A male was punched in the face at Chippers Sports Bar, 5 N. Edgehill Ave.
Barking dog: Police issued a summons to Constance White, 46, of 5599 Madrid Drive, for a barking dog at her residence.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle windshield was shattered at a home in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.
Lost or stolen plate: An Ohio license plate was lost or stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Liquor violation: ABC Drive-Through, 4903 Mahoning Ave., was charged with underage sales.
Liquor violation: O’Donold’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave., was charged with underage sales.
Liquor violation: BW-3, 6000 Mahoning Ave., was charged with underage sales.
Jan. 6
Drug offense: Police arrested William Milano, 41, of 5751 Sheridan Road, Boardman, on charges of drug abuse of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at state Route 46 and Seventy-Six Drive.
Drug offense: Police arrested Stephanie Osborne, 19, of 72 S. Roanoke Ave., on charges of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse at N. Four Mile Run Road at Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: 130 OxyContin pills and a car stereo were stolen from an auto at Silica Road and state Route 46.
Menacing by stalking: An ex-boyfriend is accused of menacing by stalking at a home in the 3000 block of Artmar Drive.
Jan. 7
Recovered property: A 1992 Honda Accord was recovered in a ditch in the 200 block of S. Raccoon Road. The owner said it had been stolen in Youngstown.
Warrant: Matt Schall, 44, homeless, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.
Drug offense: William Hurd, 26, of 4809 Olds St., West Farmington, was arrested on a charges of drug abuse, possession of drug abuse instruments, permitting and illegal use of heroin and state Route 46 and Clarkins Drive.
Theft: A wallet was reported stolen at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.
Burglary: Three flat-screen televisions, a laptop and Playstation 3 were stolen from a home in the 100 block of S. Navarre Ave.
Recovered property: A cell phone was recovered.
Burglary: A cashier’s check receipt was taken at a home in the 3000 block of Artmar Drive.
Auto theft: A 2007 Ford Ranger was reported stolen at Davidson’s, 3636 Canfield Road.
Jan. 8
Warrant: Hector Santiago, 19, of 117 N. Evanston Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road.
Disrupting public service: The victim’s ex-boyfriend tampered with the electric meter at a home in the 3000 block of Artmar Drive.
Drug offense: Brandon Clinkscale, 19, of 4164 New Road, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at New Road at Laurie Drive.
Drug offense: Antwain Mayes, 21, of 111 N. Navarre Ave., was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Oakwood Avenue at Lexington Place.
Jan. 9
Theft: A wooden flag was taken by a relative at a home in the 3000 block of Brookview Court.
Assault: A man was punched in the face by an unidentified person at Rumor’s Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.
