Grant will benefit respite-care program
YOUNGSTOWN
The YWCA of Youngstown has been awarded a $32,000 grant from the Hine Memorial Fund of the Youngstown Foundation to be used to provide inclusive child care and summer respite services for children with diagnosed disabilities who live in the city and surrounding vicinity.
With the respite-care programming, the YWCA will be able to include children with severe disabilities, who may require a higher level of personal care.
During August, a four-week respite program will be provided with flexible hours Monday through Friday for school-age children with disabilities who are not in the inclusive-care program. For more details, call Jennie Andrews at 330-746-6361.
