Youngstown man arrested in Boardman

BOARDMAN — A 55-year-old Youngstown man posted $1,250 bond today after being charged with misdemeanor child enticement.

Police arrested Gary Edward Mott on Friday after an incident at Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road. Police said Mott called out to four 12-year-old girls who were leaving the restroom.

Reports state the girls went outside the theater to wait for a parent for a ride home and Mott followed them. The girls told police that they walked to Cici’s Pizza, and Mott drove his Pontiac near them and called for them to come talk to him. The group ran to Target, police said, and told a security guard.

According to reports, Mott repeatedly told police that there was “nothing sexual about it.” He will appear in Boardman area court for arraignment Tuesday morning.
