NOAS to sponsor pre-placement classes

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services is inviting area singles or couples considering becoming an adoptive or foster parent to pre-placement education classes at its office at 5000 E. Market St., Suite 26.

The series of classes will start at 6 p.m. Jan. 28 and continue on Saturday and Sunday that weekend and will resume the weekend of Feb. 19 and 20.

Class participants can learn more about the skills, personality traits and dedication that will help them become effective adoptive or foster parents and about the children’s experiences.

Reservations for the classes are required and can be made by calling John Hostetler at 800-686-6627, ext. 123 by Jan. 20.

NOAS, a private, nonprofit agency, does not charge fees to a family to adopt a child in care of the child welfare system, and specializes in finding loving families for school aged children and teens.
