MLK luncheon

VFW Post 6488 and its ladies auxiliary will have its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon at 1 p.m. next Monday at the post home, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road. This year’s theme is “Keeping the Dream Alive.” The post will pay special tribute to black pioneers in local broadcasting journalism. Keynote speaker will be the Rev. Clifford Kimbrough, pastor of Mount Gilead Baptist Church.
