Wright State, Detroit win Horizon games

CHICAGO

N’Gai Evans had game highs of 15 points and nine rebounds to lead Wright State to a 58-41 victory over Loyola of Chicago on Saturday.

Evans also posted game bests of five steals and five assists for the Raiders (11-6, 4-1 Horizon), who won their fourth straight. A.J. Pacher scored 13 points, and Vaughn Duggins added 10.

Gabe Kindred scored nine points to lead the Ramblers (10-7, 1-5), who shot just 35.6 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from 3-point range and 41.7 percent from the foul line. Loyola has lost seven of its last 10 games.

Detroit 72, UIC 69

CHICAGO

Ray McCallum scored 17 points, and his put-back with two seconds left clinched Detroit’s victory.

Paul Carter scored with seven seconds left to draw the Flames (5-12, 0-5 Horizon) within 70-69. UIC’s Robo Kreps then fouled Chase Simon, who missed two free throws. But McCallum snared the second miss and laid it in.

Jason Calliste scored 16 points for the Titans (10-7, 4-1). LaMarcus Lowe added 11 points.

GREEN BAY 69, MILWAUKEE 64

GREEN BAY, Wis.

Bryquis Perine scored 17 points and Rahmon Fletcher added 13 points for the Phoenix (8-9, 2-3 Horizon), and Steve Baker had 10 points and seven rebounds.

For Milwaukee (8-9, 3-3), Kaylon Williams had 14 points, Tone Boyle 13, Anthony Hill 12 and Tony Meier 10. Hill also had 12 rebounds.
