Ryan nominations

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, has nominated several area students to attend the Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo., and the Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. The nominees, who were honored at a breakfast with Ryan on Dec. 19, are:

AIR FORCE

Steven Case: John F. Kennedy High School, Warren, son of William and Marianne Case.

Jeffery Hill: Hubbard High School, son of Jeffery and Traci Hill.

ARMY

Robert Dragash: LaBrae High School, son of Nick and Marlene Dragash.

Louis Joseph: Ursuline High School, son of Lou and Angela Joseph.

Shane Brown: Air Force and Army, Champion High School, Gerry and Bonnie Brown.

NAVY

Cole Palmer: Mineral Ridge High School, son of Robert and Shari Palmer.

Britney Weidenthal: Austintown Fitch High School, daughter of Fred and Rita Weidenthal.
