Family hosts dinner to honor Mr., Mrs. DeWitt

The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Dewitt of Campbell was celebrated Dec. 19 during a family dinner at Johnny’s Restaurant in Boardman.

Hosts for the festivity were their children and their spouses, Chester DeWitt of Worthington, Pa., Lori and Steven Cappitte of Campbell and Mark and Nicole DeWitt of Youngstown. Two grandchildren, Joey and Gina Cappitte complete the family circle.

The former Nancy Tarr and Mr. DeWitt were united in marriage Dec. 20, 1960, at St. Elizabeth Church, where they renewed their nuptial vows Dec. 19. They are members of St. Joseph the Provider Church.

Mr. DeWitt served four years with the U.S. Navy and retired in 2002 from Santisi Corp. in Boardman, where he was an assistant manager.
