Poland speech team talks the talk

The Poland speech team will look to pick up in 2011 where it left off in 2010.
Looking back to the 2010 portion of the team’s schedule, Katie Slaven and Molly Porter won the Public Forum Debate category at the Niles, Austintown and Howland tournaments.
Lidia Mowad and Colin Rody took first place at Poland in the Pubic Forum Debate and placed second in the Public Forum Debate category at the Columbiana tournament.
Brendan Higgins earned third place in the Lincoln Douglas Debate at the Niles and Stow Monroe Falls tournaments.
Britta Carson was a semifinalist in Humor at the Boardman tournament and won in that category at Howland. Jayne Catlos took third place in Original Oratory at Niles and Poland and fourth place at the Boardman and Austintown tournaments.
Demetrios Constantine was a semifinalist in the Humor category at the Boardman tournament and the winner at Poland. Jake Courtney and Panayiotis Constantine were semifinalists in the Public Forum Debate at Boardman. Victoria Klim came in third place at the Poland tournament for Humor. Geoff Nelson earned second place in Original Oratory at Poland. Mitchell Thompson came in second for Congressional Debate at Poland.
