CityScape will host Grass Roots gala

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown CityScape, a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing Youngstown’s downtown and gateways through beautification, preservation and education, will host a Grass Roots Dinner honoring Dr. Rick Billak on Thursday at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St. Doors open for a social at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:30.

Dr. Billak, chief executive officer of the Community Corrections Association, will receive the “Sweet Grass Roots Award.” An active CityScape board member since 2005. Billak will be honored for his dedication to beautifying such areas as the Market Street corridor, which has become a source of pride and inspiration to the entire region.
