Dec. 13

Identity theft: A Sawmill Run Drive resident reported she had been notified of charges made to a charge card account that she had not opened.

Identity fraud: A Bradford Drive man told police he was contacted by a collection agency about a bill for a Dish Network account that some person opened in his name.

Dec. 14

Theft: Several pieces of gold jewelry were reported stolen from a home in the 1000 block of West Main Street.

Identity fraud: Police arrested Robert Paul McLaughlin, 62, of Painesville, on charges of telephone harassment, extortion, possessing criminal tools, menacing by stalking, receiving stolen property, indentity fraud, engaging in a pattern of corrupt acts and pandering obscenity.

Dec. 15

Theft: An employee at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., reported she witnessed a man take a DVD and drive off in a green vehicle driven by a woman.

Dec. 16

Arrest: Police arrested Justin Luzier, 22, of 9525 Woodworth Road, North Lima, on a Canfield mayor’s court warrant.

Dec. 17

Theft: McQuaid’s Gas Station, 407 W. Main St., reported the possible theft of more than 700 gallons of gasoline since its gas tank levels are coming up low.

Dec. 18

Drug paraphernalia: Police charged James Wyckoff Sr., 55, of 4920 Coal Road, Vienna, with possession of drug paraphernalia (a suspected crack pipe), and Timothy Fabian, 28, same address, with possession of drug paraphernalia, also a suspected crack pipe, on West Main Street.

Disorderly conduct: Police charged John Dunn, 49, of 497 Shadydale St., with the crime.
