SHARON, PA.

The West Penn Division of the March of Dimes in Pittsburgh recently presented the staff of Sharon Regional Health System’s Level II nursery with a recognition plaque for its efforts in providing advanced care and service to area families of premature babies. The presentation was part of a March of Dimes “Day of Gratitude” effort designed to express thanks to the doctors, nurses and other health-care professionals for all that they do each day as they care for these tiny babies and their families.

New interactive tools

Copeland Oaks Retirement Community has added new interactive tools to its online site, CopelandOaks.com, including a content-management system that enables Copeland Oaks to make changes and updates at anytime. Other features are photo galleries; a newsroom; a direct link to Copeland Oaks’ Facebook page; a postcard feature that allows Copeland Oaks residents, employees, and visitors to send digital postcards; a monthly calendar of events; and a way to make online donations to Copeland Oaks.

Help Hotline grant

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Foundation’s Edna B. and Thomas W. Zimmerman Family Memorial Fund has awarded Help Hotline Crisis Center a $7,500 grant to be used for the Suicide Hotline program and prevention services. Help Hotline’s 24/7 number is 330-747-2696. Help Hotline also coordinates the Survivors of Suicide Support Group.

VNA receives grant

YOUNGSTOWN

The Visiting Nurse Association of the Greater Youngstown Area has received a $15,000 grant from the Youngstown Foundation. The grant will assist VNA with some building repairs, and the purchase of a telephone system and security equipment.
