St. Charles Borromeo Church was the setting at 1:30 p.m. May 22, as nuptial vows were exchanged by Lisa Marie Bokone, daughter of Kathy Bokone and John Bokone, both of Warren, and James Michael Ihnat, son of John and Adele Ihnat, of Poland.

The Rev. Philip Rogers officiated at the ceremony and the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple live in Boardman.

The bride’s sisters and honor attendants, Lori Bokone and Sarah Bokone, wore aqua-colored gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Jessica Kohler, Jada Veneable and Kelly Semple. Flower girls were Elizabeth Bokone, a cousin of the bride, and Alaina Ihnat, the groom’s niece.

The duties of best man were performed by the groom’s brother John Ihnat, and groomsmen were Robert Canter, Ed Meek and Langdon Riley.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is an IEP coordinator at Summit Academy in Youngstown.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in education from YSU, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in school administration. He is a seventh- and eighth-grade language arts teacher at Southside Academy.
