Housing manager faces drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN — A property manager at Plaza View Apartments responsible for helping police eliminate drug activity in the complex is due in court to answer a felony drug charge.

Police charged Christine Cordy, 45, of Crestwood Avenue, with felony possession of drugs, a misdemeanor count of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and a traffic violation. She appeared this week for arraignment in Youngstown Municipal Court, and a total bond of $9,000 was imposed.

Cordy is due back in court Wednesday for a hearing before Judge Robert Milich.

Cordy is property manager at the Plaza View Apartments complex off McGuffey Road on the city’s East Side. Part of her duties is to coordinate with police in their efforts to keep drug trafficking out of the complex.
