2 people die in Springfield, Ohio, house fire

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Two people have died in an early morning house fire here.

Springfield firefighters say today's blaze was relatively small. They suspect the victims may have died from smoke or carbon monoxide poisoning.

However, the source and cause of the fire remain under investigation.

The Springfield News-Sun reports the victims are believed to be women. They were found in different areas of the home.
