Police seeking side-swiping driver

Police are still searching for a man they say side-swiped cars at Meander Inn.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, police said, a man hit vehicles in the parking lot of the North Canfield-Niles Road hotel and fled the scene. Austintown police were called to assist Jackson Township police with the search, but as of late Tuesday night, the man had not been found.

According to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, WFMJ-TV, police found several liquor bottles in the car and suspect the man may have been recently fired from his job.
