A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Dec. 29

Telephone harassment: A resident of Deer Avenue Trail filed a complaint.

Dec. 30

Drug paraphernalia: Police charged Thomas Abercrombie, 25, of 618 W. Princeton Ave., Youngstown, in the possession of drug paraphernalia after his arrest in the city.

Jan. 2

Assault: A woman came to the police station and said she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend’s sister at a Neff Drive home.

AUSTINTOWN

Dec. 28

Arrest: Police arrested Kelly DeWitt, 27, of 409 Rhoda Ave., Youngstown, on a bench warrant on a charge of failure to appear for probation violations.

Criminal damaging: Potted plants were thrown through a homeowner’s window in the 4000 block of Nottingham Drive.

Criminal damaging: A passenger window and rear-view mirror were damaged on a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Criminal damaging: Christmas decorations were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Ashley Circle.

Criminal damaging: An iPhone was damaged by a woman’s boyfriend while they were driving on South Turner Road.

Lost or stolen: Dealer plates were lost or stolen at Austintown Auto Sales, 5275 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A rear Ohio license plate was stolen from an auto parked in the 4000 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

Arrest: Police arrested Edward Robuck, 36, of 2307 Donald Ave., Youngstown, on a bench warrant alleging he does not have a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Assault: A man told police he was poked and punched by another man at a home in the 1000 block of Northfield Drive.

Dec. 29

Bench warrant: David Bagnoli, 45, a homeless man, surrendered to police on a bench warrant charging failure to appear on a probation violation and traffic violations.

Explosives: Police found one detonated and one undetonated bomb using the product Drano at a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.

Auto theft: A 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of New Hampshire Circle.

Theft: Police issued summonses for Miranda Campbell, 20, of 16 N. Evanston Ave., Youngstown, and Justin Normandin, 25, same address, in the theft of clothing and cologne at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Charlene Whirles, 28, of 4821 Westchester Drive, Apt. 305, on four failure-to-appear warrants on original charges of two counts of petty theft and traffic violations.

Criminal damaging: Two outside garage lights were broken off a home in the 6000 block of Bay Meadow Court.

Disturbance: Multiple subjects were fighting, and a knife was confiscated at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road.

Dec. 30

Breaking and entering: 80 to 100 metal storage arms were stolen at Vinylume, 3745 Henricks Road.

Theft: Jewelry was stolen at a home in the 100 block of Moorefield Avenue.

Theft: A front license plate was stolen from an auto parked in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Dec. 31

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged at a home in the 1000 block of Raspberry Lane.

Theft: Police charged Elie Faraj, 26, of 429 Windemer, Hubbard, with the theft of $40 worth of steaks at IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.

Domestic violence: Police charged John Blazo, 48, of 4161 New Road, with two counts of domestic violence and also with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Criminal damaging: A window was broken at a home in the 200 block of North Main Street.

Jan. 1

Robbery: A man told police he was assaulted and robbed of $180 on the trail between Rosemont Avenue and Compass West.

Arrest: Police arrested Daniel Dixon Jr., 26, of 7057 West Blvd., Boardman, at South Meridian Road and U.S. Route 62 on a warrant charging theft.

Arrest: Police arrested Theodore Grzejka, 25, of 812 E. Boston Ave., Youngstown, on a warrant alleging felonious assault in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: Police charged Lucas Bielecki, 27, of 2456 Northview Drive., Cort-land, with theft at Walmart and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft: A purse was stolen at Walmart.

Burglary: A television was stolen from a home in the 100 block of North Navarre Avenue.

Jan. 2

Criminal trespass: Police charged Frankie Lockett, 19, homeless, with the crime after his arrest in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s tire was cut at a home in the 1000 block of Signature Place.

Burglary: Gold-chain necklaces were stolen from a home in the 300 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
