“Live to Dance” (8 p.m., CBS): Will Paula Abdul be as strange and crazy on her new reality show “Live to Dance” as she was on “American Idol”? We can always dream.
“V” (9 p.m., ABC): What do those mysterious visiting aliens have in store for humanity? Fortunately, we’ll be able to find out. At one point, this sci-fi thriller appeared to be dead, a victim of lackluster ratings. But it managed to earn a second season pickup, and now producers are promising more action, more plot twists and more surprises. Regarding the latter, fans of the original miniseries will be pleased to hear that Jane Badler is reprising her role of Diana. As for her majesty Anna (Morena Baccarin), well she’s as fierce as ever. Just watch what happens when she whips out her lizard tail. Hint: It ain’t pretty.
“Southland” (10 p.m., TNT): Yes, “Southland” is still on the air. The searing cop show, once canceled by NBC, continues to find new life on cable and provide meaty roles for Regina King and Ben McKenzie.
