EVANSTON, ILL.

Draymond Green scored 15 points, including an offensive rebound basket after a missed free throw with 12 seconds to got, and Michigan State held off a furious finish from Northwestern. Durrell Summers and Kalin Lucas had 12 points apiece for the Spartans (10-4, 2-0 Big Ten).

Milwaukee 76, Butler 52

MILWAUKEE

Anthony Hill scored 22 points to lead four players in double figures and Kaylon Williams added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee (8-8, 3-2), which shot 55 percent from the field to hand the defending Horizon League champions their first loss. Matt Howard had 14 points and six rebounds for Butler (10-5, 2-1).

Green Bay 77, Houston Baptist 61

GREEN BAY, WIS.

Jarvis Williams grabbed a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down a career-high 12 rebounds as Wisconsin-Green Bay beat Houston Baptist. Daniel Turner and Rahmon Fletcher also scored 14 points each for the Phoenix (7-9).

Akron 84, Oral Roberts 80

AKRON

Nikola Cvetinovic scored 17 points to lead six Akron players in double figures. The Zips (9-5), who led by as many as 15 points in the first half, lost the lead in the second before using a 15-1 run to go back on top 77-65 with 6:03 remaining. Darryl Roberts scored six points during that run and finished with 12 points. Brett McClanahan had 13 points for the Zips, who won for the fifth time in six games. Zeke Marshall added 12 points, and Steve McNees and Brad McKnight had 10 each.

Alabama 83, Toledo 41

TUSCALOOSA, ALA.

Charvez Davis and Tony Mitchell scored 21 points apiece and JaMychal Green added 14 as Alabama routed Toledo. Jay Shunnar had 13 points and seven rebounds for Toledo (3-11).

Buffalo 78, Cornell 66

ITHACA, N.Y.

Zach Filzen scored 17 points and Byron Mulkey added 16 to lift Buffalo. The Bulls (8-4) led almost the entire game, falling behind only once — 17-16.

Ball State 76, SIU-Edwardsville 46

MUNCIE, IND.

Jarrod Jones finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead Ball State. Jesse Berry tied his career high with 18 points for the Cardinals (8-4).

Iowa State 72, Northern Illinois 63

AMES, IOWA

Diante Garrett scored 22 points and Iowa State earned its seventh straight win.
