Man found dead after house fire
NEW CASTLE, Pa.
A Union Township man is dead after his house caught fire early this evening.
Jack Stoner, assistant fire chief of Union Township in Lawrence County, Pa., said the blaze broke out about 5 p.m. Monday at a home on Cameron Avenue.
The homeowner, whose name hasn’t been released, was found dead inside the house, Stoner said. He said the entire house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.
The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation, and Stoner said as of 10 p.m. Monday, state fire marshals were still on the scene.
