Campbell Mayor Krinos resigns

CAMPBELL, Ohio — Campbell Mayor George Krinos has just handed in his resignation effective immediately.

Vindicator news partner WFMJ TV 21 reports on its web site that the mayor says he’s fought over the past twelve months as hard as he could to bring the change for which the citizen’s elected him, however because of the resistance to change, his hands are tied with little to nothing being accomplished.

Krinos says he’s had little time with his family and feels he could better serve the city of Campbell from the private sector.

Krinos defeated long time Campbell Mayor John Dill in November ‘09 and served only one year. President of Council Bill Van Such will the new mayor.
