BEAVER, Pa.

A western Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial in the shooting death of his live-in girlfriend last month.

Thirty-year-old Marcus Raynor of Aliquippa waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday in the Dec. 7 death of 32-year-old Simone Cox.

Authorities say Raynor told police he was playing with the gun, which he thought was unloaded, when it discharged, hitting the mother of two. The Beaver County Times says he has been ordered to stand trial in Beaver County Court on involuntary manslaughter and weapons charges.
