SENIOR CITIZENS | Meetings, activities announced
55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church with Gayle Hollowell and June Keeley as hostesses. There will be card games, and members will dine out.
Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome.
Canfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45 p.m. On the agenda will be installation of officers and committee reports. Dues will be collected. The next board meeting will be Jan. 17 at the church. Reservations will be accepted at 330-332-4791 for the day trip Feb. 12 to see “South Pacific’” at Playhouse Square in Cleveland.
Girard Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center. January birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and bingo will be played.
St. Nicholas Senior Citizens will have a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. Jan. 11 in Great Hall with Laverne Cox presiding. Those members who paid for the December meeting are automatically paid up for this meeting; reservations are required for all others and are due Wednesday. Send a check for $8, payable to the St. Nicholas Seniors and mailed to Lora Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois St., Struthers, OH 44471. New members are welcome.
Youngstown State University Freetimers will have a breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All retirees and their spouses are welcome.
