Flags presented to new citizens
CANFIELD
Daughters of the American Revolution presented American flags to 11 new citizens on Dec. 9 at the Mahoning County Courthouse in the presence of Judge Beth Smith.
Members of the DAR were welcomed by Regent Rosa Dalbec as they met on Dec. 13 at A La Cart Catering.
Priscilla Sutton presented a program and exibited dolls she has collected. Some of the dolls are being displayed through Jan. 9 at the Arms Family Museum of Local History in Youngstown,

TOPS open house
AUSTINTOWN
TOPS OH 2191 of Austintown, a weight-loss support group, will have an open house at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, 45 Idlewood Road.
Admission is free, and there will be healthy refreshments and information on TOPS and weight loss. For more information call Kerry Price at 330-799-2894.
Seniors share Fun Day events
BOARDMAN
Exercises, crafts, bingo and blood pressure screenings were on the agenda when area seniors met on Dec. 10 for a Fun Day event sponsored by Senior Independence at Boardman Township Park.
The seniors had a cookie exchange, and Sue Gans was the caller for bingo.
Lunch was provided by the park and Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland.
Reservations are being accepted at 330-965-0482 for the Jan. 20 event to be hosted by Sunrise Assisted Living and the Jan. 27 event with Ron Joy/Sateri Homes as host.
