Santa visits Poland, Boardman preschoolers

Santa has been visiting the school each December for the past 27 years.
Preschoolers took turns guessing who had come to visit them Dec. 23 during their class time. Some thought it was the Easter Bunny, others said the Tooth Fairy, but the majority knew exactly who the secret guest was going to be.
Poland-Boardman Child Care Center celebrated Christmas with a special visit from Santa Claus. Santa has been visiting the school every December since the preschool’s founding in 1983.
Each classroom was led to a room where Santa sat awaiting their arrival. The students took turns sitting on his lap and making Christmas wishes.
Some students were shy and nervous to approach Santa, but had no problem giving him their wish list. After the children talked with Santa, they were given candy canes to take home and place on their Christmas trees.
