The Art Outreach Gallery at the Eastwood Mall in Niles starts its 5th annual school art exhibition Friday. Here is the show’s schedule.

March 4 to 20: Canfield High School, Newton Falls High School, Niles School District

April 1 to 17: Trumbull Career and Technical Center, Howland Middle School, Hubbard School District

April 29 to May 8: Lakeview District, Warren School District, Youngstown’s East High School

May 13 to 22: Trumbull County Educational Service Center Annual High School Art Show, Poetry and Awards

The Art Outreach Gallery at the Eastwood Mall opens its fifth annual school art exhibition Friday, featuring artwork by local kindergarten through twelfth-grade students.

The exhibition, “A Real Life Experience,” provides students an opportunity to display and sell their art to the public.

The exhibit runs through May 22 and includes art from 10 school districts.

Art from Canfield and Newton Falls high schools and the Niles school district opens the show Friday to March 20.

Each will have a reception.

Newton Falls will have a reception from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Canfield High School’s reception is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday with music by students Jake Hille, Beau Kuhn, Julia Sandoval, Mike Seifert, Jordan Smith and Jake Tancer.

The Niles school district’s reception is from 5 to 9 p.m. March 18 with music performances by the Niles McKinley High School instrumental ensembles and Ally Dean, a Niles eighth-grade student.

Teachers at the schools are volunteering to inventory, hang and label the students’ work as well as plan the opening reception and select the art work.

Those wanting to help the gallery can call Gail Stark, its board chairwoman, at 330-219-7833.

The gallery is located in Eastwood Mall next to Daffin’s Candies. It’s open 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
