55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Hostesses will be Marge Guthrie and Suzi Merz. Cards will be played and members will dine out.

1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Brownstone Court. John Texter will preside. Cancellations are required by Monday with Sandy Redeske at 330-755-5192. Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave. Guests are welcome.

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Betsy Koneval will preside. Dinner will be served at a cost of $10. A representative of the local Area for Aging will speak. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. Illnesses should be reported to Eleanor Zuby at 330-799-7127. Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Center, 16 N. State St. March birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Lunch will be served; the cost is $2. Reservations may be made at 330-545-9629. Members are asked to take canned goods for the Emmanuel Center.

Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, will have a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. The Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. For further information call 330-675-2521.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will have a meeting at noon March 4 in the Lowellville City Hall Conference Room, with Vice President Mary Potesta presiding. New officers for the 2011 year are Ernie Ciarniello, president; Potesta, vice president; and Mary Mascarella, tresurer. A macaroni-and-meatball lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi of Gianna’s Catering. Call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176 for reservations or cancellations. Birthdays and anniversaries for February and March will be acknowledged. Membership is open to anyone over 55. Dues for 2011 are $5. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet March 9 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The social will begin at 11 a.m. and lunch will be at 11:45. A program will be presented by Jennie Stride and Dave Hatfield from the senior center. Nonperishable goods, current magazines and paperbacks will be collected. All area retired educators are invited. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Marilyn Boggs will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Sts. Cyril and Methodius Seniors will meet after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on March 10. Brunch will be served at noon, and birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged.
