Premecs mark 50th anniversary at Mass, dinner

YOUNGSTOWN

On Feb. 12, Richard and Rita Premec of Youngstown and their family celebrated the 50th anniversary of the couple’s wedding.

The couple were honored at 4 p.m. Mass at St. Christine Church and at a family dinner at the Blue Wolf Restaurant in Boardman.

Hosting the celebration were the couple’s children and their spouses: Richard Premec Jr. of Fort Wright, Ky.; Robert Premec of Youngstown; Larry (Cindi) Premec of Canfield; Mary Rita (Tom) Davis of Youngstown; and John (Tracy) Premec of Columbus. The Premecs also have 10 grandchildren.

The Premecs were married at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church on Feb. 11, 1961. They are 50-year members of St. Christine’s.

Mrs. Premec is a homemaker.

Mr. Premec retired in 1992 as a captain with the Youngstown Fire Department. He also served in the U.S. Army.
