JWL plans St. Patrick’s Day event as a benefit for Difference Makers

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League is sponsoring its second annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration as a benefit for The Difference Makers. Admission is $25 per person.

Scheduled for March 12 at The Embassy, 5030 Youngstown-Poland Road, the event will feature a dinner of corned beef and cabbage, whipped potato bar, beef and Guinness stew, tossed salad, home-baked bread; a cash bar; basket auction, a 50-50 raffle and disc jockey Jim Loboy.

Pot of Gold, $101 and up

Four Leaf Clover, $51 to $100

Rainbow, $21 to $50

Leprechaun, $20

Led by the Rev. Timothy O’Neill, Difference Makers assists local contractors by supplying materials for projects that help kids, such as handicap ramps.

The organization also supplies winter coats, hats, gloves, underwear, socks, shoes and backpacks for children and supplies funding and services to the food bank in Campbell, which provides much-needed supplies to many local families.
