“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): The Mahoning County Veterans Commission has a broad reach to all veterans in the community. Sue Cargill, chief investigator, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the Soldiers Relief Program and the many benefits available to veterans and their families.

“Increase the Peace” (6:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday on MyYTV): Host Andrea Mahone will be joined by Warenettier “Winnie” Timpson of the Youngstown Fire Department. She is the first African-American woman to serve as chief of transportation of YFD. There will also be salute to the late Sharyl Frasier Everett of the YFD.

Teen nightclub plans next event

HOWLAND

Teen Bliss Nightclub has opened at the Avalon Inn Hotel for teens ages 14 to 18. It has light-up cornhole, mocktails, a live DJ, dance floor, food and more.
