Glenwood boys lose to Howland

The Boardman Glenwood seventh-grade boys basketball team lost hard-fought game match against Howland 39-36 on Feb. 10 and ended the season 7-8.

Preston Stitt led the Spartans with 10 points, while Jamison Lytle contributed eight and Kelan Millerleile put in six. Lou Cardona hit two three-point shots.

The team was coached by Eric Moore.

Eighth-graders in close game against Campbell

The Boardman Glenwood eighth-grade boys basketball team came up short in a 32-28 loss to Campbell Feb. 7.

Top scorer for the team was Darnell Walton with 10 points. Juan Santiago and Vince Valentini chipped in with five points a piece.

The Spartans concluded the season 2-13 and were coached by Jim Bennett and Justin Coffin.
