Pennsylvania State police said weather conditions are to blame for a deadly two-car crash.

Cynthia Pallott, 49, of New Castle was killed at 6:05 a.m. Friday when her car slid on ice on U.S. Route 422 and went into the path of an oncoming sport-utility vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. State police said the second driver, Anthony Angelo, 71, of Edenburg, was injured.

The report stated that he could not avoid hitting Pallott’s vehicle. Angelo was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
