The Boardman Lions Club will host its annual Night at the Races fundraiser March 5 at the Operating Engineers Hall on McClurg Road.

The $10 entrance fee includes an all-you-can-eat buffet sponsored by several area restaurants, beer and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and races will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the local Seeing Eye Pilot Dog Program and the Coats for Kids Campaign available to all Boardman students in conjunction with Target.

The Boardman Lions Club also recycles used eyeglasses and provides new eyeglasses for both kids and adults who qualify for the program, among several other initiatives.
