Fundraising tea will benefit library

Reservations are being taken for the “Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice” fundraising tea benefiting the Springfield Library, a branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. The tea will take place at 1 p.m. April 2 at the Free Methodist Community Church, 9900 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road.

Presenter Shirley Griffin will discuss antique gadgets, cookbooks, recipes and spices. Patty’s Ultimate Pantry will cater the event with gourmet tea sandwiches and pastries. Gift baskets donated by the children of the Springfield Schools will be raffled.

There is no special attire for this event. All proceeds benefit the Springfield Library Capital Campaign. Admission is $15 per person, and reservations can be made by calling the library’s development office at 330-744-8636, ext. 51630.
