Canfield swimmers qualify for state meet

The Canfield swim team competed at the Northeast Ohio Districts Division I Championships at Cleveland State Feb. 19.

Gavin Trebilcock qualified for state in four different events, including the 200-yard medley relay, the 200-yard individual medley, the 200-yard free relay and the 100-yard breaststroke.

Ryan O’Malley and Mark Dalvin qualified for state in the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard free relay. Drew Wellham was also part of the state-qualifying 200-yard medley relay team. Nicky Montalto was part of the 200-yard free relay team.

Hilary Allen, Gia Velasquez, Adrianna Oddo, Mallory Allen and Olivia Williamson swam in several events at districts, but did not qualify for state.
