First Night seeks coordinator, directors

First Night Youngstown is looking for people to serve as directors, as well as a part-time event coordinator. The organization stages the annual arts and entertainment event at a variety of locations in downtown Youngstown every New Year’s Eve. Dana concert

The Dana Symphony Orchestra will present a concert at 8 p.m. Monday in the Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St., downtown. Tickets are $5 at the door or call 330-744-0264 for them. Rossini’s “Overture to Semiramide” will open the concert, followed by solo performances by the four Young Artist Competition winners: Tim Wilderoder, Robert Thorndike, Sean Baran and Patrick McLaughlin. The women of the Dana Chorale will join the DSO in the Debussy Nocturnes, and the program will end with the Brahms Academic Festival Overture.
