BOARDMAN

Hospice of the Valley will host its 10th annual Mardi Gras Party on March 5 at Mr. Anthony’s 7440 South Ave.

Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be available when doors open at 6:30 p.m. Featured at the event will be a silent auction for vacation packages, unique gift items, game tickets, autographed memorabilia and gifts from local merchants. There also will be a bag auction.

Musical entertainment will be by the John Watkins Notes and Sounds Band from Cleveland, and there will be dancing to music provided by disc jockey Bryan Ladd.

Also scheduled is a 50-50 raffle, psychic readings, a Mardi Gras store and food.

PNC is sponsoring the benefit, and honorary chairmen are John and Denise York, DeBartolo Corp., and Rori and Bruce Zoldan, BJ Alan Company/Phantom Fireworks.

The public is invited, and the donation for the evening is $65 per person. Sponsor tables for eight are available.

Proceeds from the event stay in the local area and will be used to benefit Hospice of the Valley and its mission to provide comfort and compassionate care for those at the end of life and support for their families.

There is still time to showcase a business by contributing a gift or service to the auction.
